With Schnittenliebe hem guide you can finally give your new favorite piece of clothing the hem it deserves. Exact, straight and above all PERFECT!
Regardless of whether you want the parallel seams or the loop seam to be visible, you can use the hem guide to create an exact seam parallel to the edge of the fabric. The adjustable hem width gives you many options for how you can use your new hem guide.

Which screws do I need for the hem guide?
That depends entirely on your coverlock model. Unfortunately, there is no standard size, so we have tried to create a little cheat sheet for you in the overview above, in case you don't already know which size you need. Ideally, you should look in the manual for your machine or ask someone who has a suitable measuring device and can measure the thread width for you. We already have the two most common sizes as a set in the shop. Dimensions:M3
head diameter = 11 mm
thread diameter = 3mm
Thread length = 6mm, 8mm and 12mm M4
head diameter = 14 mm
thread diameter = 4mm
Thread length = 8mm and 12mm
Installation of the screws:
The knurled screws can be screwed directly into the holes with your fingers without any additional tools . The grooves on the edge of the screw make it easy to grip and tighten the screw heads.

Universal applicability
Our seam guide is designed to fit almost all common coverlock models. We have chosen an extra long length for the guide so that the fabric can be guided well. The long slot offers you many options for choosing your individual seam width and the inserts in the slot mean you are prepared for all common screws!

Sustainability through longevity
The hem guide is made of modified polyethylene terephthalate ( PET-G for short ). It is a thermoplastic material that most people are familiar with in the form of PET bottles. In households with children, care must be taken to ensure that the small parts included are not swallowed ! It can be used safely in households with children. However, you should not expose it to unnecessary high heat (e.g. iron, dishwasher, etc.). -
3D printing process
The hem guide is produced with a 3D printer, “printed”, so to speak, which gives the surface of the product a very special structure .
How do you mount the seam guide on your coverlock ?
Attaching the seam guide is really child's play thanks to the screw holes already provided on your machine.- Remove any screws that are already installed.
- Place the hem guide on the machine and fix it with your two screws for now.
- Choose your hem width and screw the hem guide tight.
