Single fold up and single fold down for your coverlock
The problem:
You are sewing your new favorite piece and want to hem it on the coverlock. But first you have to measure everything exactly, pin it and, best of all, iron it. How annoying!
>> PUT AN END TO IT <<
With the single overcasting, you can simply thread your fabric edge through the "snail" and start coverlocking immediately. If you have positioned the single cover beforehand so that the needles catch the edge, you will have a perfect result and save time!
The best thing is that you can use the single cover both upwards and downwards. Simply pull the scroll off the bar, turn it over and put it back on. This gives you the freedom to decide whether you want the trendy loop seam on the right or left side of the fabric.
The single overlock comes in a set with 15mm and 25mm or 20mm and 30mm width, so you can sew all standard hems with a professional result. Of course, we grant you a price advantage of -10% if you opt for the complete set (all 4 hem sizes).

- Babylock Desire 3
- Janome Cover Pro 1000, 2000 and 3000 CPX (the space to the presser foot is too narrow)
Which screws do I need for the single cover?
This depends entirely on your coverlock model. Unfortunately, there is no uniform standard size, so we have tried to give you a little cheat sheet in the overview above if you don't already know what size you need. Ideally, you should look in the booklet that comes with your machine or ask someone who has a suitable measuring device and can measure the thread width for you. We already have the two most common sizes as a set in the store.
Dimensions:
M3
Head diameter = 11 mm
Thread diameter = 3mm
Thread length = 12mm
M4
Head diameter = 14 mm
Thread diameter = 4mm
Thread length = 10mm
Fitting the screws:
The knurled screws can be screwed directly into the holes with your fingers without any additional tools. The grooves on the edge of the screw make it easy to grip and tighten the screw heads.
Why do you even need a single cover for your coverlock?
You put so much time, love and nerves into finding the right pattern, selecting the fabric, the annoying cutting and, of course, sewing the fabrics together. Do you really want to waste even more time pinning and pressing your hems? No! Simply screw on the cover, thread the fabric and start sewing.
